Hello everyone, I am Kanwarjeet, B.A. Progg. Final year, folks today I am going to take interview of Ms. Ruchhi …..Ruchika Sharma B.com final same college on our very own Library, rather saying interview on Library we must say about Library, so here I start……



Kanwarjeet: - Hi!! Ruchika
Ruchika: - O!!! Hi Kannu, how are you?

Kanwarjeet: - I fine Ruchhi, Dear today I am goinn to ask you few questions on our Library, rather say am goinn to take your interview.
Ruchika: - Interview!!! (Surprised) Of mine???

Kanwarjeet: - yeaa!!! Interview………. of yours…….. donn u gonna support meh??
Ruchika: - O sure!!! Buddy!!! (Smiles)

Kanwarjeet: - So herz mah first Q’n from you.
Ruchika: - yeaa!!!

Kanwarjeet: - How do you find our Library???
Ruchika: - hmm (Thinks)…….IMPRESSIVE!!!

Kanwarjeet: - Impressive???
Ruchika: - Yes!!! Impressive (Gizels) ahaam!!! Our Library is quite good and I think our library has every thing that an ideal library should have, (Thinks)…… like a proper well maintained online catalogue, a very peaceful and quite environment for studying in study room, good stock of books, Novels plus good reference books…………

Kanwarjeet: - (I interrupt) so do you…….
Ruchika: - (Aggressively) Kannu lemmie finish off first.

Kanwarjeet: - Ohh!! (Paused)…………sorry (Smiles), continue plz.
Ruchika: - yeaa!! Its k, so am saying you can find most of the types of books in our library, like course books, Novels, reference books etc. & Kannu this is mah 3rd year in college and I have never faced any sort of difficulty regarding issuing/submitting of books, or from staff or any other problem from any body till date. Even the staff is very good and supportive; let me share my personal experience with you.

Kanwarjeet: - Ohh!! Why not??
Ruchika: - Thanks,(smiles) Actually I had lost mah Accounts book in canteen, so I was really worried, and have no idea what to duh , then I rushed to library staff directly for their support & suggestions…

Kanwarjeet: - yeaa!!!
Ruchika: - So, they guided me properly, they suggested “donn purchase the book right now, wait for 2-3 days might be some kind hearted person would returned it to the library counter.” I said ok, as book is of rounn 300 bucks (Laugh). They suggested meh to write down an application for now, so I written one. Luckily somebody returned the book on counter and I have saved mah money with the support of staff, so I found them very caring & supportive.

Kanwarjeet: - so you are quite lucky. haan!!!
Ruchika: - yeaa!!! (Laughs)

Kanwarjeet: - ohk! Now lemmie allow coming back to the topic.
Ruchika: - yups


Kanwarjeet: - So howz the infrastructure of our library?? We have wooden chairs and tables in study room, are you ok with them? Or do you want wrought iron furniture??
Ruchika: - Wooden chairs & tables are not bad, but of course wrought iron furniture would be much better, BUT!! I want to mark a point here, rather spending in purchasing luxurious furniture for library, we can use finance for some other important purposes (Thinks) …………like………we can provide more books, better facilities can make study room more comfortable by installing ACs there, coz its really hard to even sit in the room in summers forget about peaceful studying. Just forget it!!!

Kanwarjeet: - So you want Comfort over Luxury??........hmmm!!!
Ruchika: - Of course!!!

Kanwarjeet: - Tell me have you ever faced any problem in issuing/submitting of the books, by staff or by any other person or any other thing for that matter??
Ruchika: - NO, Never!!

Kanwarjeet: - Do you always find the right book?? Which so ever u wants??
Ruchika: - Generally!! But if book is not there, we always have an option to acknowledge this to library in-charge and he makes book available in least possible days.

Kanwarjeet: - ohk! That’s really great, so hwz library in charge, coordinator, library head and all??
Ruchika: - They all very good (smiles)

Kanwarjeet: - ohk!! (paused)………..You have said online catalogue is very good but what about the internet café??
Ruchika: - This is the weakest point of our library; I am not at all satisfied with the café. First of all there are very few computers for so many people, generally people remain standing in café waitinn for others to leave on, secondly half of them never works, next internet speed is too low, and (paused)…………..yeaa!! I agree, Linux is the safest operating system but students wants MS-Windows only; as windows is very user friendly and easy to use, & moreover they have banned all social networking sites from the café, like ORKUT, Facebook and all, that’s really bad..huh!! They need to lift the ban as quickly as possible this is actually beneficial to the students (winked).
And they need to change the operating system to MS-Windows plus they have to add more systems and have to increase internet speed also.

Kanwarjeet: - Ohh!! It seems you are not at all satisfied with the café.
Ok!!
Have you ever been to any other college’s library??
Ruchika: - yeaa!!
I have been to many colleges library like Gargi, Kamla Nehru, Ramjas, Hansraj, ARSD, and SRCC.

Kanwarjeet: - Ok!! waise, you have been to many. hana!!
So how much difference/similarities you have noticed??
Ruchika: - Let me acknowledge you one bye one…
1.) Gargi – More or less same.
2.) Kamla Nehru – Ours is slightly better (smug).
3.) Ramjas – Infrastructure of Ramjas is much better than of ours, though Book Stock seems meh same, Staff I cant say.
4.) Hansraj – They have very good library, though the location of library I didn’t find convenient.
5.) ARSD – Ours is much better (Laughs).
6.) SRCC – Huge library Few books generally related to Commerce and Economics. mujhey pasand nahi aayee.


Kanwarjeet: - Ok!
Let’s get back to our college’s library. ONE thing you want to appreciate??
Ruchika: - STAFF.


Kanwarjeet: - ONE thing you want to change??
Ruchika: - hmm!!(Thinks)……….. Café for sure.

Kanwarjeet: - Here is the last one from mah side.
Would you like to give any suggestions to improve library further??
Ruchika: - yeaa!! It would be better if they can provide more space in book shelf area they need to give more space, so students can search book easily & they need to provide better café to students.

Kanwarjeet: - ohk!! We will try to acknowledge/forward your views/suggestions to library staff.
Ruchika: -waise, I would like to give more such interviews to you in future also (Laughs).
Kanwarjeet: - (Laughs) ha ha!! It would be honor for me to interview again, waise, it’s very much depend on Mrs. Indu Chopra (Smiles).
